Dr. Christie B.

DVM

Dr. Christie Banks is an Omaha native who, as a child, dreamed of becoming another Jane Goodall, living amongst and studying the animals of Africa. Banks went on to attend Iowa State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013.

After graduation, she worked at a small animal practice in Hastings, Nebraska, and then moved back to Omaha in 2017. Through her experience, she has developed specials interests in dermatology, feline medicine, internal medicine, and abdominal ultrasound. She enjoys getting to know her furry patients, and their 2-legged parents!

Christie lives with her husband, Brian, and two daughters, Harper (8) and Meara (3). They also share their home with a geriatric cat, Bob. He joined the family many years ago, after Christie found him in a cardboard box and splinted his broken leg.

In addition to her veterinary responsibilities, Christie is involved with her daughter’s gymnastics, soccer, and school, and their church where she serves on the Church Council. Her extra-curricular activities include camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.  She is excited to join the Arlington Pet Hospital team and looks forward to working with you and your pets!
